When is the last time you listened to worship music different than your usual? Have you ever experienced multicultural worship? Perhaps you have been able to travel and worship in a different language than your own or came across an album that you really loved. Either way, there is something about worshiping the Lord in a different language and in a different style.

My native language is English (as you probably know by now haha) and the only other language up until 2018 that I heard a worship song in was Spanish. Yet, at a student missions conference call Urbana, I heard worship in a BREATH of expression.

This worship experience still astounds me! Corporate worship really hits different when it’s live and there is a MASS of people of all different ethnicities singing along in different languages. I can’t remember all the languages we sung in but to name a few English, Spanish, Twi, Zulu, Farsi and Chinese. ❀️😩

Also, I only listened to worship songs with words up until a few years ago. Why didn’t anyone tell me about soaking music?! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

With all that being said I am chiming with this challenge. Take some time to step into a new expression of worship… a new language, a new genre, or even just sing a new song from you heart. Even if you can’t gather in these numbers you can still worship in a new way.

The Lord inhabits the praises of his people!
